Backend / Full Stack PHP Developer

The primary scope of work involves collaborating with the team to enhance and develop the backend of the administrative panel for a partner network. The project entails working with extremely high loads and large volumes of data, as well as integrating and maintaining multiple external APIs with heterogeneous structures.

Role Overview

Squared GmbH is seeking a talented Backend / Full Stack PHP Developer to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging, high-load projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable web applications. You will primarily focus on backend development using vanilla PHP and Laravel while also contributing to entry-level full stack tasks.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain web applications using vanilla PHP and Laravel.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features.
• Work primarily on backend development, with occasional full stack tasks.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues.
• Work with big data, ensuring performance and reliability.
• Maintain code integrity, organization, and high-quality documentation.

Requirements

• Mid-level or higher experience with vanilla PHP development.
• Entry-level experience in full stack web development.
• Strong knowledge of MySQL databases, Redis, and Elasticsearch.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and deployment.
• Familiarity with High-Load projects, Memcached, and ClickHouse is advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work with and analyze large datasets.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English (A2+ level or higher).
