Overview

At Brammibal's Donuts we're looking for Assistant Shop Managers (gn) to join our Shop Management team at our new airport location. As Assistant Shop Manager (gn) you will assist the Shop Manager with the day-to-day running of your store, monitor financial performance, motivate and train your team, and lead by example. As part of our FOH management team you are the face of Brammibal's Donuts, serving customers with a big smile and sharing donut expertise and specialty coffee.

Working at Berlin-Brandenburg Airport (BER)

This role is based at Berlin-Brandenburg Airport (BER), a major transport hub where you’ll delight travellers with donuts and specialty coffee in a dynamic, busy, international workplace. Our airport store operates from early mornings through late evenings, including weekends and public holidays — flexibility with shift work is essential. Opening shifts start as early as 4:00am and closing shifts last until 22:00. There is no classic 9-to-5 here, but you’ll experience real variety with flight schedules, rush hours and an international crowd.

Managing a new store in such a high-profile environment requires familiarity with our internal processes and the ability to guide your team through airport processes and protocols. In this busy environment you will stay on top of orders, training your team, delivering excellent customer service, and maintaining contact with airport personnel and management. For working at the airport, all team members need to apply for an airport ID badge (Flughafenausweis) and a security clearance according to the process below.

• 7 LuftSiG process, which will take several weeks to months. We fully support you throughout the process and guide you step by step.

Our airport store will open this summer and we can’t wait to make it a success.

Your Tasks

• Your daily drive is regular floor shifts with your team, leading by example (making coffee, customer service, cleaning).
• Assist the Shop Manager in running your dedicated shop; responsibilities include planning and ordering of donuts, inventory management, shift planning, training and onboarding new team members, providing feedback, and enforcing safety and hygiene rules.
• Participate in regular meetings with fellow (Assistant) Shop Managers.

About You

• Previous experience in a supervisor position
• Experience in the restaurant / hospitality / tourism industry
• You love customer service and go out of your way to make each customer feel special
• A love for donuts — knowing our product is key
• Experience with Specialty Coffee or Barista skills would be a plus
• Ability to speak English (some German would be a plus)
• Rote Karte Gesundheitsbelehrung (Instruction on food personnel hygiene at the health office) — you can still easily obtain this when you start with us
• You are trustworthy, reliable and punctual
• You love to work with people
• You are a true problem-solver with a hands-on mentality

• Full-time position with 37.5 hours per week; part-time (30 hours) also possible
• Full-time salary of EUR 2996,50 according to pay group 6
