Bestatter (m/w/d)

We are looking for a Site Manager (m/w/d) to support families through the complete funeral process while helping build and shape a new location in the Cologne/Düsseldorf region.

The role combines compassionate client support , operational management , and hands‑on field work with a modern, digital‑first funeral organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage funeral cases end‑to‑end (from first contact to invoice)
• Guide and support bereaved families with empathy and clarity
• Coordinate with external partners (transport, venues, florists, clergy, etc.)
• Organise and attend 1–2 ceremonies per week
• Handle all administrative steps (documentation, quotes, billing)
• Contribute to establishing and shaping the new location
• Promote pre‑need funeral services (Vorsorge)

Required Qualifications

• Fluent German (C1–C2) — must have
• Strong interpersonal skills, emotional maturity, and empathy
• Experience in operations, back office, customer‑facing roles , care sectors or funeral services
• Ability to work independently and structure your own workflow
• Absolute reliability and a hands‑on mindset
• Digital affinity (comfortable using modern tools and workflows)
• Valid Class B driving licence

Nice‑to‑Haves

• Experience in the funeral sector
• Experience in team or site setup
• Basic English skills

Working Model

• Flexible working hours: 30–40 hours/week
• Day travel within the region required (company car not provided)
• €36,000 – €48,000 gross annual salary (total package incl. variable part)
