Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced BIM Engineer to support the design development of a hyperscale data centre campus in Berlin. The role will be heavily involved in design coordination , model development, and interdisciplinary collaboration across MEP, architectural, and structural teams during the early project phases.
This is a long-term opportunity on a mission‑critical project, ideal for a BIM professional with proven data centre experience and strong technical coordination skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and coordinate BIM models across architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines during the design stages
- Ensure BIM models comply with project BIM Execution Plans (BEP) , client standards, and applicable German and EU regulations
- Coordinate clash detection and issue resolution using Navisworks or equivalent tools
- Support design reviews, technical workshops, and coordination meetings with internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain model accuracy, data integrity, and version control throughout the design lifecycle
- Collaborate closely with consultants, designers, and the client team to ensure alignment with hyperscale data centre requirements
- Assist in the preparation of BIM deliverables for planning approvals and future construction phases
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a BIM Engineer on data centre projects (hyperscale or mission‑critical facilities preferred)
- Strong understanding of design‑stage BIM coordination
- Proficiency in Revit (mandatory); Navisworks experience required
- Familiarity with MEP systems typical to data centres (power, cooling, redundancy concepts)
- Knowledge of BIM standards, workflows, and coordination processes
- EU passport / right to work in Germany (mandatory)
Preferred Profile
- German‑speaking (preferred, not mandatory)
- Based in Berlin or Germany (preferred)
- Experience on large‑scale or campus‑style projects
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
