BIS Exec level Consultant

Role Overview: A global biopharmaceutical company is seeking a Business Information Systems (BIS) Lead to support its German Commercial and Medical Affairs operations. This role will serve as the primary interface between the local teams and the global/regional BIS organization, driving digital, data, and AI solutions to enable the successful commercialisation of current and future medicines in Germany.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the strategic partner to German Commercial and Medical Affairs teams, building strong relationships to understand current and future business needs
• Develop and maintain a roadmap of digital and data capabilities to support product launches in Germany
• Oversee and prioritise local BIS initiatives and ensure alignment with global/regional teams
• Lead the implementation and optimisation of tools such as Veeva CRM, Veeva Vault (MedComms and PromoMats), and other field solutions
• Collaborate with compliance teams to ensure all digital and data solutions meet local regulatory requirements (e.g. GDPR, consent)
• Work closely with the German digital lead and global BIS team to deploy innovative digital capabilities
• Provide technical and project oversight to local and global implementation partners
• Manage and optimise the portfolio of digital applications and vendor relationships
• Leverage analytics to improve decision-making and optimise business performance
• Maintain awareness of industry trends to ensure deployment of best-practice solutions

Must-Have Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• 7–10 years of experience in the life sciences sector (pharma/biotech or consulting)
• 5+ years in roles such as Business Analyst, Functional Lead, IT Business Partner or Digital Lead
• Experience supporting Commercial and/or Medical Affairs teams
• Direct experience with the implementation and optimisation of Veeva CRM and Veeva Vault (MedComms and PromoMats)
• Strong understanding of GDPR, GxP, and other relevant regulatory requirements
• Familiarity with digital, data, and AI tools applied within pharma field operations
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and project leadership skills
• Experience working in cross-functional and international environments

Preferred Experience

• Prior involvement in launching Commercial field or digital solutions in Germany or Europe
• Knowledge of MLR processes and related content management systems
• Exposure to AI tools, digital innovation, or omnichannel capabilities in pharma
