Bookkeeper needed to clear transaction backlog and produce financial statements

Stellenbeschreibung:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable bookkeeper to help us get our financial records up to date. This project involves clearing a backlog of transactions, categorizing and reconciling accounts, and preparing accurate financial statements.
Scope of Work:
- Import and categorize historical transactions from bank/credit card accounts
- Reconcile accounts using accounting software (e.g.Xero)
- Ensure chart of accounts is clean and consistent
- Generate financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Identify and correct discrepancies or duplicate entries
- Provide a summary of your findings and suggest any improvements for ongoing bookkeeping
Requirements:
- Proven experience with bookkeeping and financial reconciliation
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and communicate clearly
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Bookkeeper or similar credential
- Experience cleaning up messy books
- Prior work with small businesses or startups
