Business Central Functional Consultant (SCM)

I'm supporting a well-established, internationally active organisation in the search for a Functional Expert for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central with a focus on Supply Chain Management (SCM).

In this role, you will be a key interface between business and IT during international ERP rollouts, ensuring that SCM processes are properly designed, implemented, and integrated within a complex Business Central environment across multiple countries.

You will combine functional SCM expertise with project ownership, working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure smooth delivery of ERP rollout projects and system enhancements.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support and optimise SCM processes within international Business Central rollouts
  • Create functional specifications for development teams and ensure business requirements are correctly translated into system solutions
  • Test SCM-related developments in end-to-end system environments
  • Lead and facilitate Gap-Fit workshops and deliver user training sessions
  • Ensure stable integration and monitoring of BC interfaces, including connection to the central dispatch system “Diskover”
  • Act as BC Rollout Project Manager for selected international ERP rollout projects
  • Coordinate external IT service providers, manage timelines, costs, and deliverables, and handle acceptance processes
  • Take responsibility for project budgets and manage both internal and external stakeholders

Your profile:

  • Degree in Business Administration, IT, Business Informatics, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • At least 3 years’ experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, focused on SCM processes
  • At least 2 years’ experience in IT project management or system implementation roles
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and assertiveness skills
  • High customer and service orientation with a structured, solution-driven mindset
  • Professional German and English; additional languages are a plus
  • Willingness to travel internationally when required
  • Willingness to relocate or commute 3 times a week to office
