About the Role: We’re looking for a Business Controller – Purchasing / Procurement who combines financial insight with analytical strength and a passion for operational excellence. In this role, you’ll act as a strategic partner to our Purchasing and Procurement teams, providing transparency on performance, driving cost optimization, and enabling data‑based decision‑making. You’ll help ensure that purchasing activities align with our strategic, financial, and operational goals — delivering real value across the organization.

About your tasks:

• Monitor and report on purchasing performance — analysing KPIs such as supplier performance, cost development, and budget adherence, and providing regular insights to management.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and support strategic sourcing initiatives, ensuring effective tracking of purchase prices, supplier terms, and contract conditions.
• Conduct detailed data analyses and forecasting on material costs, purchasing trends, and supply chain risks to support proactive decision‑making.
• Contribute to budget planning and forecasting, preparing annual budgets for the purchasing area, tracking variances, and explaining deviations.
• Drive process improvement by developing and optimizing purchasing processes, reporting tools and data flows — in close collaboration with Procurement, Finance and Supply Chain teams.
• Act as a financial sparring partner to the Head of Purchasing and key stakeholders, translating complex data into actionable recommendations.

About you:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in Business Controlling or Financial Analysis, ideally within Purchasing, Procurement or Supply Chain environments.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to turn complex data into clear, actionable insights.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with Power BI, PowerQuery and/or PowerPivot.
• A structured, proactive and collaborative mindset, with excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Fluency in English; German is a plus.
