Business Development Manager - Auto Engineering

Candidates who are based in Germany and having experience in Auto Engineering Services Sales (CAD, CAE, Embedded, EV) are eligible to apply for this position.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead revenue growth in Germany, primarily targeting Automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of automotive product development lifecycles, established relationships in the industry, and a passion for bringing high-value engineering solutions to clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Revenue Generation: Own and drive revenue targets for automotive engineering services within assigned accounts and territory.
  • Client Acquisition & Growth: Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
  • Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders at client organizations.
  • Market Mapping: Analyze market trends, identify customer needs, and translate them into actionable business opportunities.
  • Proposal & Contracting: Lead proposal development, pricing strategy, and contract negotiations in collaboration with delivery and legal teams.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with solution architects, technical pre-sales, and delivery teams to tailor solutions that meet client needs.
  • Forecasting & Reporting: Maintain accurate sales pipeline, forecast revenue, and report progress using CRM and sales dashboards.

Requirements

  • Experience: 10+ years in business development in the Automotive Engineering Services industry. Proven track record of achieving revenue target consistently.
  • Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of automotive integrated systems and domains (e.g., Mechanical, Embedded, Digital Solutions)
  • Network: Good relationship and network with automotive OEM /Tier 1 companies in Germany.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electronics) and Master in Business Administration preferred.
  • Language Proficiency: German and English
