Now we’re looking for a Business Development Manager (f/m/d) to continue to grow our sourcing & sales efforts. Buying e‑bikes is at the core of our business, and you will be responsible for unlocking new growth opportunities with retailers, leasing providers, fleets, and more.
Your Mission
As Business Development Manager B2B (f/m/d) , you’ll take full ownership of our B2B sourcing and sales operations from building the first playbooks to scaling our partnerships across the market.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Regional Ownership: Take full responsibility for a major bicycle region in your area, managing all business relationships end-to-end.
- Retailer Partnerships: Build and maintain long‑term relationships with thousands of retailers, promoting our trade‑in program to source used e‑bikes from private individuals.
- Stock Purchasing: Identify and purchase excess stock from partners to expand our product offering.
- Leasing Company Relations: Develop strong networks with leasing companies to acquire returned bikes.
- Manufacturer Collaboration: Work closely with leading e‑bike manufacturers to secure high‑quality products and strengthen industry ties.
- Process Optimization: Streamline procurement processes to maximize efficiency and ensure consistent product quality.
- Negotiations: Secure the most favorable purchasing conditions for Upway through effective and strategic negotiations.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 2–5 years in sales, purchasing, or account management.
- Relationship‑Building: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to foster long‑term partnerships across all levels — from CEOs of international bicycle manufacturers to local bike shop owners.
- Negotiation: Proven track record of securing favorable terms through strong negotiation skills.
- Travel Readiness: High willingness and enthusiasm to travel frequently across Germany to strengthen partner relationships within the bicycle industry.
- Communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in both German and English.
