Business Development Manager, Cold Chain Ground & Managed Transportation

This role is in the UPS Healthcare division which operates in the logistics and distribution market supporting pharmaceutical, med tech and diagnostics companies.

Office: West Germany (Frankfurt area preferred)

Are you ready to positively impact the organization by leading the sales initiative for top priority UPS Healthcare product? In the role of Business Development Manager for Cold Chain Ground and Managed Transportation you will build a pipeline and secure new revenue for our European Cold Chain Ground network and Managed Transportation service offerings. You will work closely with our Enterprise and Small Medium Business sales team to do this, along with your own self‑led efforts based on your knowledge of the market.

What You’ll Do

  • Generate and qualify leads
  • Receive and work leads from European and Global Sales partners
  • Source and develop client referrals
  • Develop and maintain a customer pipeline using Salesforce
  • Prepare sales action plans and strategies
  • Schedule sales activity
  • Lead and deliver commercial proposal development working with a tender management team

What You’ll Need

  • Education: Bachelor or master, preferably in business or supply chain management
  • A minimum of 6-8 years of experience in Logistic Industry, preferable in different roles
  • Knowledge of Pharma Logistics with focus on Good Distribution Practice (GDP)
  • Thorough knowledge of international transportation with a focus on temperature controlled solutions.
  • Proven Sales track record and appetite for new business acquisition
  • Fluent English and German language speaking and writing proficiency
  • Working skills in other languages beneficial
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to support development of products and services
  • Broad management skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Solid financial knowledge and understanding
  • Flexible attitude
