Join ITT Cannon as a Business Development Manager (m/w/d) Steckverbinder für Transport & Industrie – EMEA .

ITT Cannon is an international market leader in high‑quality connectors, delivering technical excellence and miniaturization across a diverse portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new business opportunities in transportation and industrial markets (e.g., rail, heavy‑duty vehicles, energy).
  • Act as the regional interface for market and industry trends in the EMEA region.
  • Lead the creation of new business fields, product ideas and design‑in projects—either directly with strategic customers or in close collaboration with sales and partners.
  • Build and actively maintain sustainable relationships with strategic customers and key industry stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with product management, sales, field‑application engineers and product development to advance growth initiatives.
  • Present our products and technologies to existing and prospective customers.
  • Identify opportunities to expand the product portfolio and incorporate structured customer feedback and market and competitive analyses.
  • Coordinate the execution of new product developments and technologies; manage programs for strategic growth projects.
  • Drive the Sales Opportunity Management process, leveraging the CRM system and associated reporting tools.

Qualifications

  • Degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Several years of experience in business development, sales or product management, preferably in the connector industry.
  • Familiarity with design, specification and procurement processes in the connector industry.
  • Proven track record of successful new‑customer acquisition.
  • Strong technical understanding with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
  • Self‑organised, communicative personality with initiative, teamwork and leadership skills.
  • Ability to stay focused and organised in complex projects while maintaining a customer‑centric approach.
  • Willingness to travel at least 50 % of working time within the EMEA region.
  • Excellent German and English language skills; additional languages are an advantage.
