Strategic Business Development Representative (BDR)

The Role
As a Strategic Business Development Representative (BDR) , you will identify and engage manufacturing stakeholders, uncover challenges, and showcase how our platform delivers operational excellence. This dynamic role suits proactive individuals with strong communication skills in a high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Targeted Prospecting : Research potential manufacturing clients via LinkedIn Sales Navigator, industry databases, and CRM tools.
- Strategic Outreach : Conduct multi-channel campaigns (email, phone, social) to decision-makers like plant managers and operations leaders.
- Lead Qualification : Understand prospects' challenges, assess fit, and schedule meetings for the sales team.
- Collaboration : Work with marketing and sales to align strategies and messaging for manufacturing audiences.
- CRM Management : Maintain up-to-date records in Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
- Industry Expertise : Keep informed on manufacturing trends such as smart factories, IoT, and data-driven operations.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience : 2-4 years in pre-sales, business development, or customer-facing roles; manufacturing or industrial tech experience is a plus.
- Communication : Excellent written and verbal skills in English and French; Spanish or Italian skills are advantageous.
- Strategic Thinking : Ability to connect manufacturing challenges with our solutions.
- Tech-Savvy : Proficient in CRM (e.g., Salesforce) and sales tools (e.g., Outreach, ZoomInfo).
- Resilience & Drive : Motivated, persistent, and capable of navigating long sales cycles.
- Industry Knowledge : Familiarity with manufacturing operations, Industry 4.0, and data-driven decision-making.
Preferred Qualifications
- Outbound prospecting or lead generation experience in manufacturing or industrial sectors.
- Knowledge of edge computing, IoT, or industrial automation solutions.
- Familiarity with sales methodologies like Challenger Sales, SPIN, or Sandler.
