As a Business Intelligence Architect / Data Warehouse Specialist (m/f/d) , you will be responsible for the architectural design, development, and operational management of our global analytics platform. You will continuously maintain, optimize, and enhance our modern analytics environment – from data storage in the Snowflake Data Warehouse to integration within the Azure Stack and visualization in Power BI.

Your core responsibilities include the design, governance, and further development of the company-wide data management and BI architecture, as well as the operation, administration, monitoring, and deployment of the existing BI landscape. As the primary point of contact for the analytics platform, you will support colleagues from IT and business in all data analytics matters and actively contribute to key development projects for our global data platform.

Our environment is technologically cutting-edge and was built in 2023 on a “greenfield” basis with a consistent cloud-first approach. This offers you significant creative freedom to shape the platform and help lead HELM into the data-driven era. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to implement adjustments and new requirements for the platform and existing systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design, governance, and continuous development of the company-wide data management and BI architecture
• Operation, administration, monitoring, and deployment of the existing BI environment
• Maintenance and optimization of the global analytics platform based on Azure, Snowflake, and Power BI
• Ensure data quality and optimize platform performance
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners to implement adjustments and new requirements
• Support business units and IT colleagues in the data analytics domain
• Contribute to strategic projects for the advancement of the global data platform
• Implement best practices for data integration, ETL processes, and governance

Skills & Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Data Science, or a comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in designing and implementing BI architectures and data warehouse solutions
• Strong expertise in Azure Cloud Services, Snowflake, Data Vault modeling, and ideally Power BI
• Proficiency in data modeling (Data Vault, Kimball, 3NF) and experience with Data Governance and Data Catalog tools and methodologies
• Hands‑on experience with Data Warehouse Automation tools (e.g., Datavault Builder, Matillion, WhereScape, BIML)
• Solid knowledge of ETL processes, data modeling, and performance optimization
• Strong SQL skills and ideally experience with Python or similar scripting languages
• Familiarity with CI/CD, deployment, and monitoring in cloud environments
• Analytical mindset, structured working style, and strong problem‑solving skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
• Very good command of English, both written and spoken
