C++ / Qt Developer – Electrical Grid Simulation & Short-Circuit Analysis

We are seeking a Software Engineer with an electrical engineering background to join a multidisciplinary team developing advanced software for grid modelling. You will work on the further development of grid analysis software, with a particular focus on short‑circuit current calculations according to IEC 60909, supporting both national and international energy networks. This position combines electrical power engineering expertise with modern C++ software development, making it ideal for technically curious engineers who enjoy bridging simulation, research, and software design.

Your Responsibilities

Develop and improve network analysis and short‑circuit calculation modules within our in‑house grid simulation software.
Implement and maintain test‑driven C++ code for technical calculations and data models.
Participate in the design and extension of data models for electrical networks.
Provide technical support and consultancy to internal and external users.
Contribute to standardization and research activities, including collaboration with relevant technical committees.
Stay up to date with IEC 60909 and related standards in electrical power engineering.

Your Profile

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related field.
Strong understanding of short‑circuit current calculations and grid modelling (IEC 60909‑0 or similar standards).
Proficient in C++ (minimum 2 years of experience) with solid object‑oriented programming knowledge.
Familiarity with software testing, version control, and continuous integration.
Interest in modern C++ libraries, numerical computation, and simulation techniques.
Fluent in German (C1 level) and English (working proficiency).
Analytical thinker with a structured, reliable, and proactive approach.
