C++ Software Engineer

We are looking for an experienced C++ Engineer to work on the core software layer of complex technical systems.

Rather than feature-driven or short-term development, this role focuses on stability, performance, and long-term maintainability of critical software components.

You will work in an engineering-led environment where technical decisions matter , code quality is taken seriously, and software is built to last.

What You Will Do

• Develop and maintain core C++ components and libraries
• Design clean, robust interfaces and modular software structures
• Work on performance-critical and logic-heavy parts of the system
• Analyse existing codebases and improve structure, efficiency, and reliability
• Collaborate with other engineers on architectural decisions and technical direction
• Write well-tested, maintainable code with a long product lifecycle in mind
• Participate in technical reviews and contribute to engineering standards

What You Bring

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering , or comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience as a C++ Engineer
• Strong command of modern C++ (C++14/17/20)
• Solid understanding of:
• Object-oriented and modular design
• Memory management and performance considerations
• Clean code principles and software craftsmanship
• Experience working with larger, long-lived codebases
• Comfortable using CMake, Git , and modern development workflows
• Structured, analytical approach to problem-solving
• Native German speaker or fluent German at C1–C2 level (mandatory)
• Good English skills for technical documentation and collaboration
