Cable Lay Superintendent

As a Cable Lay Superintendent, you will work on board of one of our offshore vessels and be responsible for the loading, transporting and installation of subsea cables. You will lead a team on board and will coordinate all necessary works and stakeholders to make sure cable is laid in the most safe and optimal way. Your responsibilities

• Make sure all cable related operations are done in the most safe and optimal way;

• Lead a team of 10 to 15 members (foremen and operators);

• Hold the shift handover meetings with the team onboard;

• Liaise with colleagues on the bridge and surveyors for an optimal cable operation;

• Run and supervise all operations on the back-deck. This includes the operability of the Cable , installation System (CIS), ROVs, cranes and other equipment on board;

• Make sure works are performed with the highest level of safety;

• Take care of the integrity of the cable during loading, transporting and installation phases;

• Do a daily log of activities performed;

• Report to the Offshore Installation Manager.

Your profile

• You are looking for a long-term staff job position;

• You have at least 5 years of relevant working experience with subsea cables;

• You have strong communication skills;
