We are looking for a highly motivated Risk Analyst (f/d/m) to join our Berlin office. You’ll work closely within the Risk team and in a very fast‑moving, VC‑funded startup.
YOUR MISSION
- Conduct due diligence on Voluntary Carbon Market projects, using CEEZER’s leading, proprietary and multi‑dimensional framework.
- Leverage analytical findings to evaluate carbon project risk, and craft high‑impact, data‑backed recommendations for risk mitigation.
- Liaise with different teams within CEEZER and external stakeholders to collect risk information, and systemise and structure risk data.
- Forecast and monitor carbon market trends and methodology changes that shape risk perception and project evaluations, proactively staying current on emerging developments.
- Research to assess the materiality of risk and additional risk drivers in the carbon markets.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- 2+ years of experience in a Carbon Market–relevant environment, including experience in carbon market data, relevant quality concepts (e.g. additionality) and carbon project documentation.
- Proven analytical and quantitative skills in risk management or data analytics, supported by substantial experience in Excel, Google Sheets, or a coding language (preferably Python).
- The ability to explain complex issues and present technical information clearly.
- Strong research and writing skills.
- Fluency in English is required.
- A valid working permit in Germany.
