Job Title: Category Manager

Location: Berlin, Nuremberg, or Kolitzheim

We are partnering with a leading renewable energy EPC in search of a Category Manager for large-scale photovoltaic systems. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and highly respected player in the industry, with a proven track record of successful PV & BESS projects across Europe.

Responsibilities:

• Take responsibility for strategic purchasing of subcontractors, as well as security systems for large-scale renewable energy projects
• Develop and implement a cohesive product group strategy
• Manage the search, selection, and development of suppliers
• Lead the execution of tenders, primarily through eSourcing systems
• Prepare bid comparisons
• Negotiate contracts in collaboration with key internal stakeholders
• Work closely with international teams and cross-functional departments, including category management and construction teams

Your Profile:

• Completed commercial or technical training, or a degree in electrical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field
• Several years of experience and strong expertise in strategic purchasing
• Proven experience in contract management
• Experience in project management is a plus
• Proficient in MS Office
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both German and English
• A communicative, team-oriented individual with excellent organizational, negotiation, and assertiveness skills
