Catholic Administrative Pastoral Life Coordinator

What You’ll Do
- Provide administrative and logistical support to the Catholic Chaplain/Priest in the conduct of worship services, sacraments, and religious activities.
- Assist with administrative tasks in accordance with policies established for the Pastoral Care of Catholic Personnel.
- Develop and distribute a monthly Catholic community calendar outlining worship services, religious events, and closures.
- Create and publish weekly bulletins and announcements.
- Support Catholic community event coordination, publicity efforts, and registration management.
- Maintain Catholic community registration data and assist with the collection and organization of sacramental records.
Team Collaboration
- Attend and participate in required parish and chapel meetings to exchange information related to Catholic Administrative Pastoral Life Coordination duties.
- Engage in staff development programs, cross‑training initiatives, and performance improvement activities to support mission success.
Professional Development & Documentation
- Obtain Military Catechist Certification through the Archdiocese for the Military Services within 90 days of being in the position.
- Prepare and present information clearly in both written and oral formats, including emails, meeting minutes, bulletins, announcements, and promotional materials.

Qualifications
Degree
Certificate or degree in Religious Education or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree with a major or minor in Religious Education or a related field from an accredited institution; or
- Minimum of two years of college with additional education or coursework in religious education, theology, or pastoral ministry.
Experience
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience (paid or volunteer) as a Bible School Teacher, Sunday School Superintendent, Director of Religious Education, Catholic School Teacher, or in a related field; or
- Six years of relevant experience (paid or volunteer) in the roles listed above may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Language Proficiency
Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
Technical Skills
Minimum of one year of experience using standard computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and internet/email tools.
Work Authorization & Background
- Must possess SOFA status with access to U.S. military installations; or
- Legal authorization to work in Germany and ability to successfully pass a police background investigation.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
Professional Conduct
Ability to communicate and behave in a respectful, courteous, and professional manner consistent with U.S. military religious support standards, including refraining from offensive or inappropriate language.
Must have an operational and insured vehicle for travel.
Preferred
Completed training for the Sacrament of Catholic Confirmation (desired but not required).
