They are looking to hire an experienced C/C++ Developer to join on a contract basis until the end of 2025, with a potential view to extend further. About the Role We are seeking an experienced C/C++ Developer to join an exciting project with a global leader in aviation technology and communication solutions. This is a contract role focused on the development of a new ground-side ATN/OSI communications product, working closely with the client to design, prototype, and deliver high-quality solutions. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and implement C/C++ applications for ATN/OSI ground-side communication solutions.Contribute to the prototyping and development of a new aviation communications product.Collaborate with the client’s engineering and product teams to ensure alignment with technical requirements and industry standards.Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise existing and new code to meet performance and reliability standards.Ensure compliance with relevant aviation and avionics communication protocols.Participate in technical discussions, reviews, and provide input on system architecture and design. What we are looking for Key Skills & ExperienceProven commercial experience in C and C++ development.Strong background in ATN/OSI communications or related aviation/avionics communication systems.Experience developing real-time, high-reliability systems.Solid understanding of network protocols, communication stacks, and aviation standards.Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.Excellent communication and collaboration abilities in a remote, client-facing environment. DesirableExperience with prototype development and taking products from concept to delivery.Knowledge of aviation safety-critical software standards (DO-178C or similar).Familiarity with Linux/Unix development environments.
