We are seeking a medical leader for the Diagnostic Radiology Department at the client’s facility in the Soest West region. Following a recent organizational consolidation, the department is positioned for sustainable development, creating expanded opportunities for growth and collaboration across all service areas. Radiology, in particular, benefits from these synergies, opening new perspectives for innovation and interdisciplinary work.
Your role: You will take overall responsibility for the medical, organizational, and personnel management of the Diagnostic Radiology Department and lead its further development alongside the team.
Key responsibilities: Professional and strategic management of the Radiology Department. Ensure high-standard diagnostics and provide collegial guidance to clinical partners. Expand interdisciplinary collaborations within the facility and with external partners. Oversee modern imaging techniques, including conventional X-ray, MRI, CT, and fluoroscopy. Drive the development of diagnostic services in line with evolving medical standards. Promote and structure continuous training and professional development for medical and non-medical staff, creating an attractive environment for learning. Ensure radiation protection, quality assurance, and compliance with certifications (e.g., tumor boards, quality circles). Manage budget and personnel, contribute to clinical strategy, and develop key areas such as musculoskeletal radiology, oncologic imaging, interventional procedures, and teleradiology.
Department services: The department provides high-quality radiology services, from conventional radiographs and musculoskeletal imaging to CT and MRI, using state-of-the-art systems. The scope includes contrast-enhanced procedures, mammography, fluoroscopy, and ultrasound diagnostics.
Candidate profile: Completed specialization in radiology. Extensive clinical experience in radiology, interventional procedures, and possibly neuroradiology. Proven leadership skills with experience in structured change management, teamwork, and communication. Strong quality awareness and responsibility. Entrepreneurial thinking with economically responsible departmental management. Enthusiasm for innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration. Alignment with the values and mission of the facility.
