About Merloop

Merloop is an AI powered Digital Product Passport as a Service (DPPaaS) platform helping brands and SMEs comply with the EU's Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR). We make regulatory compliance scalable through AI — and we're building the team to bring it to market ahead of the Q1 2027 mandatory deadline.

The Role

We are a passionate founding team with a product we believe in — and we're looking for an experienced leader to drive our go‑to‑market strategy. As COO, you will take full ownership of GTM execution, partnerships, and operational scale, working directly alongside the technical co‑founders to bring Merloop to market.

What You’ll Own

GTM strategy and execution — pilot customer acquisition, sales motion, channel partnerships
Sustainability market relationships — brands, industry associations (BTE, VDMA, Gesamtmasche), consultants
Supply chain expertise — advising on data structure, supplier onboarding flows, and industry‑specific compliance requirements to shape product direction
Operational build‑out — processes, hiring, customer success

Qualifications

10–15 years of executive leadership experience
Proven background in strategic planning and business development
Deep knowledge of the sustainability/ESG market in Europe — ideally apparel, textiles, or manufacturing
Experience with supply chain transparency, LCA methodology, or ESG reporting (bonus: ESPR/DPP familiarity)
Proven track record bringing B2B SaaS or sustainability tools to market
Marketing skills — you can build a brand narrative and own it end‑to‑end
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills - both in German and English
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Startup mindset — you act, even with ambiguity

Compensation

Equity‑based, 4‑year vest with a 1‑year cliff. A salary component comes online with our seed round. We're looking for someone who wants to own a piece of what we're building — not just a title.
