Cloud Engineer (mfd)

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure and potentially AWS/GCP using best practices for security availability and performance
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform ARM templates or Bicep
• Configure and maintain networking components including VNets load balancers and VPN gateways
• Develop and operate CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps Bitbucket Bitbucket pipelines
• Deploy and manage IaaS and PaaS services such as AKS Azure App Services Azure SQL and Storage Accounts
• CDN management (Cloudflare Amplience etc.)
• Implement monitoring and alerting solutions (sumologic prtg Pingdom Newrelic)
• Optimize cloud performance cost and security using tools like Azure Security Center Defender for Cloud and Azure Policy
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues across environments and ensure high system reliability
• Document cloud architecture operational procedures and runbooks
• Stay up to date with cloud technologies and recommend improvements

Qualifications

Must Have

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3 years of hands‑on experience in cloud engineering roles
• Deep expertise with Microsoft Azure and familiarity with AWS or GCP
• Strong knowledge of networking security IAM and cloud‑native services
• Solid experience with IaC tools (Terraform Bicep ARM Ansible)
• Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell Bash or Python)
• Excellent analytical problem‑solving and communication skills

Preferred

• Azure certifications (e.g. AZ-104 AZ-305 AZ-400; or AWS equivalents)
• Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker Kubernetes AKS)
• CI/CD concepts and tools
• Experience using version control (Git)
• Experience in hybrid cloud or multi‑cloud environments
• Familiarity with Entra ID (Azure AD) and Microsoft 365 integrations
• Exposure to compliance frameworks (ISO NIST HIPAA)
• Familiarity with service mesh serverless and microservices architectures
• Experience in regulated or large‑scale enterprise environments
• Azure Open AI
