Responsibilities

Maintain and improve our SaaS platform used to run Shopware, primarily written in Golang
Operate and evolve our infrastructure hosted on AWS
Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
Support internal teams and customers with issues related to shops deployed on our SaaS product
Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and security
Participate in on‑call rotations to resolve incidents and minimize downtime
Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to align solutions with business needs

Qualifications

Proven experience with Golang and building scalable backend systems
Solid knowledge of AWS services (e.g., ECS, RDS, OpenSearch, Elastic Cache) and cloud‑native architectures
PHP knowledge for understanding Shopware and discovering bottlenecks in existing code
Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
Familiarity with orchestration and workflow tools such as Temporal (Golang workflow engine)
Understanding of monitoring, logging, and tracing solutions (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog, OpenTelemetry)
Knowledge of modern CI/CD practices and tools (GitHub Actions)
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders
A problem‑solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
