The CoE SAP Operations Team Lead plays a crucial role with the company, focusing on the stable and trouble‑free operation of on‑premises and cloud‑based SAP applications to support the day‑to‑day activities as well as IT security compliance. The main responsibility is managing deployments, enhancing system reliability, automated platform operations, enforcing best practices in security, performance, scalability and compliance as well as interfaces and connectivity topics.

Your Responsibilities

• Leading a team of SAP Application Consultants and Platform Engineers, develop them professionally and personally, and create an environment in which everyone can develop their potential.
• Securing technical system availability as well as smooth operations and trouble‑free processes in the operation of the hybrid SAP system landscapes.
• Design and implementation of the technical SAP system architecture.
• Budget and resource planning and monitoring.
• Planning, management, and implementation of SAP projects.
• Integration and interface management with SAP PI, SAP BTP, and Integration Platforms, including associated services (e.g. SAP IAS, IPS, and IdDs).
• Setup of new SAP systems (e.g. S/4HANA).
• SAP RISE operations and contract management.
• Securing the SAP Authorization & Access Management incl. SAP GRC.
• Definition, implementation, and monitoring of the SAP Operations Manual.
• Cross‑team collaboration and communication with adjacent IT areas and departments such as Application Experts and Infrastructure.
• Be an active partner for the business partner and auditors.
• Contribution, coordination and management of external partners (e.g. SAP Rise).

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, system analysis or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in SAP technology, ideally with a focus on SAP Basis, S/4HANA, and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with SAP interfaces and integration, SAP Authorization Management, SAP RISE, SAP Governance and Risk & Compliance is an advantage but not obligatory.
• Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies, platforms and processing environments.
• Good understanding of strategic and new and emerging technology trends, and the practical application of existing, new and emerging technologies to new and evolving business and operating models.
• Strong communication skills – fluent in English, German is a plus.
