Amber Renewables is supporting an international renewable energy investor–operator in the search for a Commercial Asset Manager to support a growing onshore wind and solar PV portfolio in Germany.

This position focuses on the commercial performance of operational renewable assets, with responsibility across day-to-day asset oversight, financial monitoring, and stakeholder coordination.

The role

You’ll play a key role in maximising value across a portfolio of operational onshore wind and solar PV assets , working closely with internal teams and external partners. Responsibilities include:

• Commercial management of operational onshore wind and solar PV assets
• Review and validation of invoices and ongoing operational expenditure
• Support with insurance, warranty, and claim‑related topics
• High‑level financial plausibility checks on periodic reporting
• Management of commercial documentation and monitoring of contractual obligations
• Ongoing coordination with external stakeholders such as lenders, service providers, and advisors
• Monitoring market, regulatory, and commercial developments impacting wind and solar portfolios

Your background

• Degree or commercial training in business, finance, economics, or a related discipline
• 2–5 years’ experience in a commercial, asset, or portfolio‑related role
• Hands‑on exposure to onshore wind and/or solar PV assets (operator, investor, or service‑side)
• Strong Excel skills and confidence handling financial data
• Fluent German and English
• Able to be based in Germany, ideally within reach of Berlin / Brandenburg
