Our client, a leading multinational organisation, is hiring a commercial controller to join their team in Hamburg.

We seek a candidate with recent commercial or sales control experience who speaks fluent German. This position provides a unique opportunity for a motivated finance professional to play a strategic role, collaborating closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain teams.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering accurate financial planning, analysis, and reporting to support data-driven business decisions. The role demands strong analytical skills, excellent organisational abilities, and effective cross-functional collaboration to enhance business performance.

• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Finance on pricing strategies, customer investments, and market development.
• Lead budget discussions and negotiations with key distribution partners.
• Oversee sales, pricing, and marketing budgets, ensuring alignment with business goals and resource efficiency.
• Integrate inputs from cross-functional teams for effective planning.
• Develop tools and reports to track KPIs, profitability, and ROI.
• Provide actionable insights to highlight risks, opportunities, and trends.
• Enhance controlling processes and implement budgeting, pricing, and performance tracking systems.
• Collaborate with IT to improve reporting and integration.
• Ensure accurate financial data, policy compliance, and support for financial statements.
• This role is critical in driving financial accuracy, strategic decision-making, and process efficiency to achieve commercial objectives.

Profile:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant finance experience, with a strong background in commercial or sales controlling and expertise in pricing, sales planning, and budgeting.
• Advanced Excel, excellent knowledge of controlling, and strong analytical skills.
• Fluency in German and English.
• Authorisation to work in Germany.
