Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the execution and documentation of Functional Performance Tests (FPT) and Dynamic Performance Tests (DPT) of Control & Protection (C&P) hardware and software, including customer acceptance tests at our test center in Germany.
- Plan, execute, and evaluate factory tests of C&P hardware at subcontractors (acceptance tests).
- Create and perform test sequences for the Open Loop Control system.
- Commission HVDC systems on‑site worldwide, ensuring technical flawless, on‑time, and cost‑efficient delivery.
- Support commissioning management in quality, risk, and claim management.
- Participate in improvement programs such as Lean, reviews, and lessons learned.
Work Experience & Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or comparable qualification/training; or completed technician training (Elektrotechniker).
- Knowledge of MATLAB/SIMULINK or similar testing tools.
- Experience in the field of electrical power supply and commissioning of electrical systems or HVDC plants.
- Understanding of current and voltage transformers and other primary components.
- Good German and English language skills.
- Willingness to travel and availability for long‑term assignments at construction sites in Germany, abroad, and optionally on offshore platforms.
- Team player, communicative, proactive, conflict‑resolving, and decisive.
Switchyard Control Experience (Primary Equipment + Commissioning)
- Siprotec 5 knowledge.
- DIGSI 5 knowledge.
- High‑voltage switchgear knowledge (earthing switches, disconnectors, circuit breakers, transformers with tap changers, etc.).
- Experience with switchgear interlocking systems.
