Compliance Manager Germany – Cisco
The role reports directly to the General Manager for Germany and works with the Compliance Boards and internal Compliance Committees, reviewing compliance risk assessment processes. You will support compliance issues to cross‑functional teams, including internal audit, legal, tax and operations.
Your Impact
- Lead all aspects of the country Compliance Program and support the Management in order to promote a culture of compliance
- Be a trusted advisor to the Senior Management on all compliance regulations in the country
- Act as a channel of communication, advisory and cross‑functional coordination for the business on compliance‑related matters
- Be point of contact to receive, evaluate and direct compliance issues to the appropriate resources for investigation and resolution
- Monitor management and employee compliance with relevant rules and regulations as well as company policies and standards of conduct
- Support compliance trainings as well as develop their content
- Oversee potential risks and issues; facilitate remediation processes, including identifying action owners, timelines and resolution plans for critical issues, etc.
- Maintain regular cadence of compliance meetings with senior management and cross‑functional teams
- Support the Ethics & Compliance org with anti‑bribery and anti‑corruption and Conflict of Interest issues, as needed
- Engage with Legal, Finance, Human Resources and other cross‑organizational compliance counterparts to assist with program recommendations based on the evolving local legislative and regulatory environment
Country/region specific duties
- Communication with regulatory authorities on compliance topics upon request, and when relevant, obtaining clarifications on new legislation
- Support of internal and external audits
- Support of the local country data protection and privacy framework with alignment with the global corporate program
Minimum Qualifications
- Detailed knowledge and previous experience in Compliance Management, audit or Risk Management role (minimum 4 years’ experience)
- Previous experience in working for global, multi‑national and/or complex organisations
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written & spoken
- Fluent in German and English
- Bachelor’s degree that demonstrates strong legal/compliance/controlling/finance acumen
