Summary

Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence division is seeking a Compliance Officer. This role may be located in, or near, an existing Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence office location and can be Remote, Hybrid, or On-site. Join the Manufacturing Intelligence (MI) Compliance team as the senior, global Compliance Officer for a Business Area with approximately €1 billion in annual turnover. Reporting to both the Hexagon Group Compliance Officer and the MI Business Area President, the role partners closely with the MI Leadership Team and other senior stakeholders to shape and drive compliance at scale. This role represents the top compliance position within MI, with worldwide responsibility for setting strategy, overseeing execution, and embedding a strong culture of integrity across all regions and divisions.

About the Role

The Compliance Officer will ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations as well as Hexagon’s Compliance Framework, including fraud and anti-corruption, trade, competition, and privacy. The candidate shall be a senior people leader responsible for setting the strategic direction of the global compliance function and for effectively implementing the Hexagon compliance framework at business-area level. He or she will lead the MI global compliance team and ensure consistent, high-quality compliance execution across regions and divisions. This role has direct accountability for organizational capability building, executive-level advisory responsibilities, and team leadership. The position works closely with senior leadership and key internal stakeholders to proactively identify, manage and mitigate compliance risks, build organisational compliance capabilities, and reinforce a strong culture of integrity.

Job Responsibilities

  • Establish and execute the global compliance strategy within MI, ensuring alignment with business priorities, MI values and Group priorities.
  • Build and drive compliance capability through training, communication, and leadership engagement across global teams.
  • Ensure effective third-party compliance oversight, including due diligence frameworks and risk mitigation measures.
  • Monitor global regulatory developments and emerging compliance risks, translating them into actionable guidance and organizational improvements.
  • Support Group level compliance initiatives and assessments.
  • Conduct contract drafting and reviews together with the legal department regarding compliance matters.
  • Lead periodic compliance risk assessments and audits and monitor control effectiveness.
  • Foster strong cross-functional partnerships to embed compliance into business operations.
  • Oversee and provide direction on complex internal investigations across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring consistency, independence, and appropriate escalation.
  • Manage and support whistleblowing cases.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve compliance policies, procedures, and operational processes, with a strong emphasis on anti-corruption.
  • Lead, develop, and manage a global compliance team of several professionals.

Qualifications

  • Fully qualified lawyer with 10+ years relevant experience and proven track record of leadership.
  • Deep expertise in anti-corruption, fraud, trade, competition, data-protection, internal investigations, and corporate compliance frameworks.
  • Strong process and governance mindset with experience scaling compliance operations across regions.
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively with senior executives and cross-functional leaders.
  • Demonstrated success in managing and developing compliance teams.
  • Collaborative approach and ability to work effectively with multi-disciplinary teams in a global organization.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • High level of integrity, sound judgment, and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential matters.
  • High energy, self-directed, and proactive, with the ability to execute in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Fluency in English and German; additional languages are an advantage in an international environment.
  • The role can be performed remotely and requires international travel.

Work Environment

This role may be performed remotely, in a hybrid arrangement, or on-site depending on location and business needs. The position requires international travel to support global compliance activities and stakeholder engagement.
