Configuration Manager (m/f/d)

Quantum Systems specialises in the development, design, and production of small Unmanned Aerial Systems (sUAS). The company's range of electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) sUAS are built to maximize range and versatility and to provide operators with a seamless user experience. By integrating cutting-edge software capabilities, like edge computing and real-time AI-powered data processing, Quantum Systems is building next-generation UAS for clients in defence, security, public sectors.

Responsibilities

• Manage, control, and maintain technical data, material masters, bills of materials, and version statuses in ERP and PLM systems
• Ensure the up-to-dateness, correctness, and traceability of documentation for all product configurations—from development to series production
• Collaborate closely with design, manufacturing, quality assurance, and procurement to implement and introduce new configurations
• Take responsibility for the completeness and release of technical documentation for production, testing, and service processes
• Implement and continuously improve standards and processes for configuration and change management
• Monitor product data quality and ensure full traceability throughout the entire product lifecycle
• Act as the point of contact for technical configuration topics within Operations, as well as for audits, certifications, and quality inspections
• Play an active role in the introduction and further development of PLM/ERP systems and supporting tools (e.g., variant management)
• Train colleagues in relevant systems and processes, and promote a unified understanding of configuration management

Profile / Qualifications

• A degree in a technical field and experience in configuration management—ideally in the aerospace industry—or a comparable completed vocational training
• Familiarity with relevant standards and confident handling of PLM/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite)
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and consistent assurance of data integrity
• Clear, precise communication in interdisciplinary teams and confident interaction with stakeholders and auditors
• Motivation to improve processes, enhance tools, and actively contribute and share knowledge within the team
• You have no difficulty communicating in German and English.
