Construction Project Coordinator

Overview

Trueline's client, a growing construction services firm known for delivering high-quality commercial and infrastructure projects, is seeking a Project Coordinator to join their team in the greater Smyrna, DE area. This role supports project managers and field teams by keeping documentation organized, coordinating communication, and helping ensure projects stay on track. It is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their construction career who wants to grow into project management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, track, and manage project submittals and related documentation
• Assist with assembling and maintaining accurate as-built project records
• Process and organize T&M tickets for submission to general contractors
• Support project change order documentation and tracking
• Coordinate communication between project managers and field teams
• Maintain organized project files, documentation, and correspondence
• Track material orders and help ensure documentation is complete
• Assist with equipment scheduling and maintenance coordination
• Support meeting preparation and documentation for project teams

Must-Haves

• 1-5 years of experience in construction, project coordination, or construction administration
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities across several projects
• Comfort working with project documentation, spreadsheets, and construction software
• Clear communication skills when working with field teams and office staff
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience working in a construction office or field environment
• Background as a project assistant, project coordinator, or construction administrator
• Field experience transitioning into an office-based coordination role
• Experience supporting project managers or operations teams
