Aboutthe project/Role description
The project is planning the expansion of the existingHamburg Refinery, by adding the following process units and facilities: HVOUnit, pre-treatment Unit, tank farm balance (tanks partially supplied byothers), interconnecting lines, new electrical substation and rack room,interconnecting cables between new substation building and existingsubstation and control room.
The Quantity Surveyor inputs and accounts the worksperformed by Subcontractors in the specific data base, and handles anydeviations from budget values.
Dutiesand responsibilities
- Checkin detail the accounting submitted by the Subcontractors for "unitprices Subcontracts"; in particular verify quantities (to becalculated in accordance with the drawings issued for construction andin accordance with the Special Preamble to Prices and Methods ofMeasurement Civil Works defined in the Subcontract).
- Ensurethe correct application of unit prices (to be in accordance with thecontract price list, and Subcontract requirements), and ensure theaccuracy of all calculations (arithmetic).
- Assistthe Subcontracts Administration Manager with the evaluation andverification of extra works and obtain the Client’s approval.
- AssistSubcontracts Administration Manager with other SubcontractAdministration activities as required.
- AssistSubcontracts Administration Manager with the preparation of backupdocuments for the Payment Certificates.
- Expediteand ensure timely receipt of accountings and other deliverables fromSubcontractors.
- Maintainproper filing of all Subcontracts and accounting documents.
Knowledge& Qualifications
- UniversityDegree or Diploma in relevant discipline or equivalent
Experience
- Similarrole covered at least in last three projects of comparable size;
- Provenpast experience on Civil and Building construction activities;
- Relevantexperience in construction/modernisation of industrial/Refinerysector/EPC projects large plants;
- Atleast 5 years of experience in the specific discipline;
- Experienceworking on Contractor side.

- Excellentcommunications, team-oriented and interpersonal skills;
- Self-motivationand direction, with a strong bias toward timely performance and problemresolution.
