Associate Application Consultant - Azure Cloud (f,m,x)

As an Associate Application Consultant at IBM you will help us usher clients into a new age of future‑looking technology. You will be assisting clients in the selection, implementation, and support of applications, methodology, and tools. You will advise clients on application development methodology and tools, and perform as expert on application development for existing or new applications. In this role you will also help guide and teach clients' project members.

Required technical and professional expertise

• Majors: Computer Science, MIS/IT, Computer Engineering, Data Science, SW Engineering, or related fields
• Outcome focused, possessing a high level of resilience, you demonstrate the flexibility and resolve needed to achieve success across a broad range of consultative contexts.
• Ability to understand clients’ needs and challenges, and apply creative and logical approach to identify solutions
• Exceptional quantitative and qualitative analysis skills and ability to derive recommendations informed by data and insights and experience mapping capabilities.
• Powerful communication and storytelling skills, with an ability to communicate complex situations clearly and simply.
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment, able to build direct working relationships across all levels of the IBM and client teams.
• Openness to assist clients in the design, business architect, process development, functional implementation, and support of applications.

• Highly motivated, with clear evidence of drive and significant achievements.
• A passion for innovative ideas, coupled with the ability to understand and assimilate different points of view.
• Drive to overcome the most challenging or difficult obstacles and look for ways to improve results.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines, while maintaining focus in an environment with conflicting demands.
• Certifications: Microsoft Fundamentals (Azure, Data or AI); Associate, Professional, or Specialty (Aspirational) in‑progress certifications are fine
• Experience: Cloud native projects (academic, personal, or internship count); Agile ways of working (ambiguous requirements, evolving scope); Programming (read, debug, and explain code)
• Familiarity with Microservices architect and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Passionate about use of AI technology for business advancement; and enjoys experiential learning
