Consumer Insights Manager (DACH) (m/f/d)

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Consumer Insights Manager for the DACH region. In this key role, you will deliver clear, actionable insights that drive strategic and operational decisions. You will lead and inspire a high-performing team, translate consumer and market data into business opportunities, and work closely with local and global stakeholders to shape brand strategy, communications, innovation, and customer experience. The ideal candidate combines strong leadership with deep expertise in consumer research and behaviour, and a proven ability to influence decisions in a complex, international environment.

Location: Hamburg, Germany

Principle Accountabilities

  • Lead the Consumer Insights function for the DACH region, delivering clear, actionable insights that drive strategic and operational decisions.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team that translates complex data into business-relevant insights and opportunities.
  • Design, commission, and manage primary and secondary research with strong methodological rigour and commercial relevance.
  • Monitor market dynamics, consumer trends, and competitor performance to anticipate opportunities and inform strategy.
  • Act as a strategic partner to marketing and cross-functional teams, ensuring insights shape brand strategy, innovation, and customer experience.
  • Collaborate across local and global stakeholders to embed insights and support data-driven decision-making across the organisation.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Proven leader with the ability to build, inspire, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Extensive experience in senior consumer insights or market research roles within fast-paced, multinational environments.
  • Deep understanding of consumer behaviour, insight techniques, and the commercial application of data.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across functions, regions, and global structures.
  • Expertise in competitive intelligence, scenario modelling, and war gaming, particularly in pricing.
  • Degree-educated and fluent in English; German language skills are a strong advantage.
