Overview

Major Account Manager role at Palo Alto Networks. You will drive and orchestrate large complex sales cycles and work with internal partners to best serve the customer. This role requires consultative selling, understanding customer needs, and positioning Palo Alto Networks solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and orchestrate large complex sales cycles and work with internal partners to best serve the customer
  • Use consultative selling to identify business challenges and create solutions for prospects and customers
  • Understand the competitive landscape and customer needs to position the portfolio effectively
  • Create clear goals and maintain accurate forecasting through a detailed territory plan
  • Leverage prospect stories to articulate value for the specific account
  • Stay updated on industry news and trends and their impact on Palo Alto Networks products and services
  • Travel as necessary within your territory and to company-wide meetings

Qualifications

  • Experience and knowledge of SaaS-based architectures, ideally in a networking and/or security industry
  • Demonstrated experience selling complex solutions, value selling, and/or consultative sales techniques
  • Technical aptitude to understand how technology products solve business problems
  • Ability to identify problems, analyze data, determine root causes, and provide scalable solutions
  • Ability to cultivate relationships with channel partners for a channel-centric go-to-market approach
  • Knowledge of full sales cycle and ability to follow a structured sales process
  • Holistic problem-solving approach considering complex interrelationships and outcomes
  • Excellent time management with high autonomy and self-direction
