Job Overview

Your main missions are to ensure the hosting of the Digital platforms by managing the multiple German Datacenters and to participate in the development of the Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) for the AH group. You will be the primary point of contact for our German Data Centers working closely with a counterpart supporting the French Data Centers, ensuring operational excellence and robust business continuity. You will organize, follow‑up and support the regular DRP tests with the main objective to sustain the Digital service availability.

The job position is located at Donauwörth, the main plant of the Airbus Helicopters group in Germany.

Responsibilities (English)

  • Datacenter – Manage operations: Define and organize the processes for receiving, storing and decommissioning the physical devices in AHD datacenters and technical datarooms in satellite locations; focal point for the local operational team subcontracted to Airbus group external partner.
  • Datacenter – Manage urbanisation: Define, manage and optimize the implementation of devices in the AHD datacenters based on the best practices for power and cooling constraints.
  • Datacenter – Ensure operability: Ensure in relation with AHD Facility Management department the power and cooling needs to guarantee continuous 24/7 Digital service delivery and lowest environmental footprint.
  • Datacenter – Document: Manage and keep up to date the AH Group CMDB for physical devices; define, maintain and generate dashboards for the follow‑up of major Datacenter activities (KPIs).
  • DRP – Manage local AHD tests: Prepare, organize, coordinate, develop and follow‑up AHD site regular DRP tests (general and unitary) in relation with AH Group DRP manager and application owners.
  • DRP – Document: Manage and deliver local AHD DRP KPIs, keep documentation up to date, manage RETEX on major DRP incidents.
  • DRP – Manage training: Define, maintain, optimise tailored operational training sessions on DRP.
  • DRP – Automation: Define, develop and optimise operational scripts to automate DRP tools for documentation and reports.
  • DRP – Continuous improvement: Continuously optimise the DRP processes and documents for efficient digital service resilience.
  • DRP – Crisis management participation: Actively contribute to coordination and execution of disaster response and recovery plan.
  • Service Catalog management: Define and maintain up‑to‑date the Datacenter and DRP service catalog describing the delivered services.

Responsibilities (German)

  • Data Center – Betriebsmanagement: Definition und Organisation der Prozesse für Annahme, Lagerung und Außerbetriebnahme physischer Geräte in den AHD-Rechenzentren und technischen Datenräumen an Satellitenstandorten.
  • Data Center – Verwaltung der Urbanisierung: Definition, Verwaltung und Optimierung der Implementierung von Geräten in AHD-Rechenzentren unter Berücksichtigung von Strom- und Kühlungsbeschränkungen.
  • Data Center – Sicherstellung der Betriebsfähigkeit: Sicherstellung der Strom- und Kühlungsanforderungen in Kooperation mit der AHD-Facility‑Management‑Abteilung.
  • Data Center – Dokumentation: Verwaltung und Aktualisierung der CMDB der AH‑Gruppe; Dashboards zur Nachverfolgung der wichtigsten Rechenzentrumsaktivitäten erstellen.
  • DRP – Verwalten lokaler AHD‑Tests: Vorbereitung, Organisation, Koordination und Nachverfolgung von regelmäßig an AHD‑Standorten durchgeführten DRP‑Tests.
  • DRP – Dokumentation: Erfassung und Bereitstellung lokaler AHD‑DRP‑KPIs; Aktualisierung der Dokumentation pro DRP‑Incidents.
  • DRP – Trainingsmanagement: Definition und Pflege von maßgeschneiderten DRP‑Schulungen für Stakeholder.
  • DRP – Automatisierung: Entwicklung und Optimierung von Skripten zur Automatisierung von DRP‑Tools.
  • DRP – Kontinuierliche Verbesserung: Optimierung von DRP-Prozessen und -Dokumenten.
  • DRP – Krisenmanagement‑Teilnahme: Aktive Mitwirkung an Koordination und Durchführung des Katastrophenschutz‑ und Wiederherstellungsplans.
  • Servicekatalog-Verwaltung: Definition und Pflege des Servicekatalogs für Rechenzentren und DRP.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree level (or equivalent) in Information Technology or related field.
  • Experience with DRP processes and/or DataCenter management proven.
  • General knowledge on IT infrastructure (network, technical infrastructure) and ITIL concepts.
  • General basic facilities technical skills (power and cooling technologies) and environmental controls.
  • Knowledge in scripting languages to develop automation.
  • Proficiency in creating and managing technical documentation.
  • Proven production environment management; strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Curious, open‑minded, collaborative team player with strong communication skills.
  • Autonomous, organized, delivery/customer-oriented, technology enthusiast and crisis‑facing robustness.
  • Experience working on projects with international teams and stakeholders.
  • Fluent English.
