About the team

We are strengthening our Corporate Audit department. The role can be filled in Amsterdam (NL) | Friedrichshafen | Schweinfurt | Düsseldorf (GER).

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance corporate audit policies, methodologies, templates, and guidance materials in alignment with IIA Standards and industry best practices.
  • Translate regulatory requirements, IIA Standards, and emerging audit trends into practical methodological guidance, workflows, and tools.
  • Drive the continuous improvement of the audit management software and related digital workflows, leveraging AI where appropriate.
  • Coordinate internal and external Quality Assurance Reviews (QAR) and oversee the implementation of resulting improvement actions.
  • Lead initiatives to strengthen audit quality, capability building, and knowledge sharing across the function.
  • Ensure global consistency of the audit methodology across regions and teams.
  • Provide onboarding, training, and methodological support to auditors.
  • Maintain strong collaboration with professional bodies (e.g., IIA), external networks, and internal governance stakeholders.
  • Serve as a subject‑matter expert for audit standards, methodology, and quality topics, ensuring consistent compliance with IIA Standards.

Qualifications

  • University degree in business, finance, information systems, data science, or a related field.
  • Multiple years of experience in Internal Audit, Consulting, Project Management, or similar corporate functions.
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills with the ability to design and improve audit methodologies, processes, and digital workflows, including experience in project and change management.
  • Structured, analytical, and independent working style—ideally developed in consulting/audit or similar professional services environments.
  • High interpersonal and intercultural competence with strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration and relationship‑building across teams, regions, and levels within the audit function.
  • Familiarity with IIA Standards, audit quality frameworks, and audit management software (e.g. TeamMate+); experience with digital tools and AI‑supported applications is considered beneficial.
  • Fluent in English; German and/or other languages are a plus.
  • Professional certifications in auditing or related fields are considered a plus.
