Key Responsibilities
Post-Contract Management
- Manage all aspects of post-contract cost management, including cost reporting, valuations, and final accounts.
- Monitor project cash flows and provide accurate financial forecasting to support project planning and decision‑making.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions related to cost management.
- Prepare and present detailed financial reports on a regular basis, highlighting project costs, variances, and forecasts.
- Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to analyse financial data and provide insights for strategic decision‑making.
Team Management
- Lead and mentor a team of cost engineers or quantity surveyors, providing guidance and support to ensure project objectives are met.
- Foster a collaborative team environment focused on continuous improvement and professional development.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients on cost management issues, building strong relationships based on trust and transparency.
- Address client queries and concerns promptly, ensuring effective communication and resolution of issues.
Requirements
- Language Skills: Fluent in German and English, with exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Professional Background: Background in consultancy, with experience in quantity surveying or cost engineering.
- Experience in managing costs for large‑scale projects, preferably in the construction or infrastructure sectors.
