CREDit Graduate Program - Financial Sevices

Stellenbeschreibung:

About the Role

Grade Level (for internal use): 09

Program Overview:

When you join S&P Global Ratings, you join one of the world's leading providers of independent credit risk research and benchmarks. You are part of a team that produces high quality fundamental research based on established criteria.

The CREDit Graduate Program is a two-year training and development opportunity with the next intake joining in September 2026. CREDit Program Analysts are hired for a specific practice; however, you are expected to transition between practices as dictated by business demands. In your first year, analysts focus on acquiring skills and knowledge from your home practice. In your second year, analysts gain exposure to other practices through a mix of classroom training and small projects or short-term secondments. All analysts combine practical work experience with the completion of a relevant qualification (for example, the CFA).

The Practice: Financial Services: Financial Services offers exposure to a variety of entities—from banks and asset managers to stock exchanges, funds, and insurance companies. You will participate in the analytical process from the start and develop a broad perspective on Financial Institutions, Funds, and Insurance Companies, forming a solid foundation for your future career at S&P.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and assist primary analysts conducting credit analysis for various financial and insurance companies, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Over time, assume primary responsibility to evaluate the creditworthiness of organizations, focusing on their ability to meet financial obligations.
  • Provide timely and precise quarterly financial statistics and data analysis, demonstrating strong organizational skills.
  • Assist in reporting, research, and presentation development, leveraging analytical skills to support research and analysis.
  • Collaborate with the team on execution improvements and ad-hoc writing projects, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • We hire for our CREDit program as a cohort and, while initial practice allocations are granted, the cohort nature of the program means analysts will be transitioned between practices based on business need during the program and post-program.

What We’re Looking For:

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Completion of a minimum undergraduate degree by August 2025, with a strong academic record.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), demonstrating the ability to handle data and presentations effectively.
  • A proactive mindset and adaptability, essential for thriving in a dynamic environment influenced by advancements in artificial intelligence and technology.
  • Intellectual curiosity, with a keen interest in learning and applying new knowledge in credit analysis.
  • Ability to conduct independent analysis and research, showing initiative and resourcefulness.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, emphasizing collaboration and effective communication with team members.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong listening techniques and the ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, time-management, attention to detail, and organizational abilities.
  • Fluency in English and the primary language of the hiring location.
  • All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.
  • We require all candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in-person interview, ordinarily at the nearest S&P Global Ratings office, before we can proceed to an offer.

Additional Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, C++, R, VBA, and/or MATLAB, showcasing technical proficiency.
  • Familiarity with AI technologies or tools, including Machine Learning Algorithms, Natural Language Processing Tools, and/or Robotic Process Automation.
