Credit / Risk Manager – Real Estate Finance

We are partnering with a fast-growing European real estate Debt Fund seeking a Credit Risk Manager to support the underwriting, structuring and execution of development and investment real estate loans across Europe.

The Role

As Credit / Risk Manager, you will play a key role in the analysis, structuring and execution of real estate loans, supporting the team throughout the full transaction lifecycle.

You will be responsible for evaluating credit risk, underwriting new lending opportunities and preparing materials for internal approval processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed credit underwriting and financial analysis of real estate development and investment loans
• Support the structuring of lending transactions across the capital stack
• Prepare credit memoranda and investment committee materials
• Review sponsor track records, development budgets and project business plans
• Analyse property cash flows, LTV, DSCR and risk scenarios
• Support deal execution and closing processes
• Monitor existing loan portfolios and ongoing project performance
• Work closely with internal investment, legal and asset management teams

Candidate Profile

We are looking for candidates with experience in real estate lending or structured real estate finance.

Key Requirements

• 3+ years’ experience in commercial real estate finance or lending
• Strong experience in credit underwriting and financial modelling
• Understanding of development and investment real estate loans
• Experience preparing credit papers / investment committee materials
• Ability to analyse property cash flows and real estate risk
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Experience gained at real estate lenders, debt funds or specialist banks is highly desirable.
