Customer Support Engineer – vCluster

Join vCluster as a Customer Support Engineer. Work remotely, collaborate with engineering, and influence product support.

Base Pay Range

Compensation: €95K – €125K plus equity.

vCluster Labs is a venture-backed startup building open-source virtual Kubernetes. Headquarters: San Francisco, distributed team.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot complex Kubernetes and vCluster issues through Slack and ticketing.
• Deep dive into logs, configurations, and code to debug root causes.
• Escalate critical problems to engineering and advocate customer needs.
• Document solutions and best‑practice knowledge base.
• Handle urgent customer issues and support customers in multiple time zones.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years hands‑on Kubernetes production experience.
• Strong Linux/Unix system administration skills.
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes fundamentals (pods, services, networking, storage, RBAC).
• Excellent written communication for explaining technical issues in Slack and tickets.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple issues, and resolve problems.
• Learning agility to pick up new concepts quickly.

Nice to Have

• Multi‑tenancy or virtual cluster experience.
• Cloud platform knowledge (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Scripting skills (Bash, Python).
• Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD, CKS).
• IaC tools (Helm, Terraform, Kustomize).
• Prior customer‑facing support experience.
