Overview

As a Customs Brokerage Specialist, you will ensure timely and accurate customs clearance processes across all freight forwarding operations, including air, ocean, and road freight. You will maintain compliance with German and international customs regulations to support smooth and efficient logistics, acting as the key liaison between DP World, customs authorities, and clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full customs clearance process for all import and export shipments across air, ocean, and road freight.
• Prepare and review customs declarations, permits, and other documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain relationships with German customs authorities to facilitate smooth operations.
• Monitor regulatory changes in customs laws and ensure compliance with updated procedures.
• Actively solve customs‑related issues and provide expert advice to internal teams and clients.
• Maintain accurate records of all customs clearance activities and ensure proper documentation archiving.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in customs operations within freight forwarding, including air, ocean, and road freight.
• Direct experience with German customs authorities and procedures.
• Strong understanding of German and EU customs laws.
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on compliance and documentation accuracy.
• Effective communicator, able to collaborate across teams and with external stakeholders.
• Fluency in German and English.
