As a Cyber Security Analyst , you will play a crucial role in the operational security and compliance of the organization, with a primary focus on configuring Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions with expertise in M365 Security products. Your role will be central to fostering an environment of proactive security management, ensuring that both data protection and security alerts are handled efficiently.

Your Tasks

• You will lead, configure and manage the DLP solution ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards
• You act as subject matter expert for M365 security products (e.g. Defender for Cloud, Endpoint, Purview, Entra-id)
• You will work closely with Legal, Data Protection Officers (DPO) and other internal stakeholders to align DLP strategies in accordance with data protection regulations (e.g. GDPR, CCPA) and corporate policies
• You take ownership of DLP alerts, investigate thoroughly, escalate as necessary, and provide trend analysis to improve detection capabilities
• Your responsibilities include supporting the monitoring and response to security-related alerts from various security platforms (endpoint security, network, and cloud security), including on-call rotation
• You maintain comprehensive documentation on DLP rules, security configuration, incident reports and compliance activities. Regularly report to management on DLP performance and trends
• You assist in enhancing the organization’s incident response and investigation process
• You prepare and deliver security-related presentations, ensuring clear communication across both technical and non-technical audiences

Your Profile

Required:

• You have successfully completed a degree in IT security, computer science, business informatics or a related field of study
• You have strong foundational knowledge in cyber security
• You have significant experience in M365 or Microsoft Azure Security
• You have strong analytical and investigative skills to handle security alerts and incidents
• You can communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, especially Legal, DPO and IT
• You understand GDPR, and other relevant data protection regulations
• You are familiar with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001 and CIS controls

Preferred:

• Proven experience working with DLP technologies (e.g., Symantec, McAfee, Digital Guardian, Microsoft Purview) or experience working administrating M365 or Azure
• Practical experience in configuring, tuning, and optimizing DLP rules
• Experience working with other security tools such as SIEM, endpoint protection, or cloud security solutions
• Security related certification (CISSP, SC-200, SC-400 or equivalent)
