D365 Production Consultant

A leading international plastics manufacturer with over €1.5 billion in annual revenue and operations across 15+ global entities, is seeking an experienced Dynamics 365 Production Consultant to optimize and transform their manufacturing operations using Dynamics 365 FSCM. Key ResponsibilitiesConfigure and optimize D365 Production, Inventory, Warehouse, and Master Planning modules.Build and maintain plastics-specific BOMs, formulas, routings, resources, and capacity models.Support production scheduling, shop floor execution, and material flow improvements.Troubleshoot production orders, planning exceptions, data issues, and configuration gaps.Collaborate with operations, engineering, quality, and purchasing teams to improve system-driven processes.Lead user training, documentation, testing, and continuous process improvement activities. Qualifications5+ years of hands-on experience with D365 F&O/SCM or Dynamics AX.Strong understanding of Production Control, MRP, Inventory, and Warehouse modules.Manufacturing experience, ideally within plastics (molding, extrusion, blow molding, compounding, etc.).Ability to analyze business processes and translate them into effective D365 configurations.Solid knowledge of BOMs, routings, capacity planning, material consumption, and scrap management.Experience with planning parameters, scheduling, and shop floor execution.Familiarity with regrind/recycle workflows, tooling management, and traceability (preferred but not required).Additional skills advantageous: Power BI, Power Automate, SQL, and prior ERP implementation or upgrade experience.
