As a Data & AI Consultant at Netlight, you work hands‑on with complex, business‑critical data and AI challenges across a wide range of industries. You can potentially engage throughout the full lifecycle of data and AI initiatives, from early discovery and architecture decisions to implementation, productionisation, and continuous improvement. Depending on the assignment, you may work as an AI engineer, data engineer, data scientist, machine learning engineer, analytics consultant, product owner, architect, or technical lead in a variety of team setups.

It can involve building scalable data platforms, robust data pipelines and integrations, and developing and operationalising AI/ML solutions. For example, building batch and streaming data pipelines using tools and frameworks such as SQL, Python, Spark, Kafka, Airflow, dbt, or similar, with a strong focus on data quality, reliability, and observability. Or training, evaluating, and deploying machine learning models for use cases such as demand‑supply modelling, optimisation, or personalisation.

It can also translate business problems into data and AI solutions, advising clients on data and AI strategy and transformation. For example, working closely with product managers, designers, and domain experts to identify opportunities where data and AI can create value, define success metrics, and ensure solutions are aligned with business goals. Or, supporting clients with technical decision‑making, architectural trade‑offs, and roadmap planning related to data platforms, analytics capabilities, and AI adoption.

As a consultant at Netlight, you are expected to take ownership of your work, contribute actively to team discussions, and continuously develop your technical expertise. You will work in agile, collaborative environments where learning, feedback, and knowledge sharing are central. Beyond client projects, you are encouraged to contribute to Netlight’s internal communities, competence development, and thought leadership within Data & AI.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Engineering or Technology (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, etc.)
• Verbal and written fluency in English
• 2‑3 years of work experience within the data & AI field related to IT and software products in agile teams
• Solid programming experience in at least one general‑purpose language commonly used in Data & AI systems
• Experience working with version control systems (e.g., Git) and modern development workflows (CI/CD, code reviews)
• Experience working with modern cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience collaborating closely with other engineers, analysts, or stakeholders in client‑facing or delivery‑focused teams
