Data & AI Governance Manager (m/f/d)

Your mission

As Data & AI Governance Manager you will play a key role in the data and AI journey of Smartbroker. The role works at the intersection of regulation, business needs and technical implementation. Joining our significantly growing Data, AI & MarTech Department you will report to the department head and drive data & AI related governance and management topics throughout the organisation – from tailing requirements and processes, creating policies and guidelines to coordination of cross-divisional initiatives and projects. We are looking for a strong communicator enthusiastic about connecting regulation and management with technology in the Data & AI sphere.

Job description

• Spread awareness on data & AI governance & management topics across the company
• Develop and roll out a robust data governance frameworktayloredfor the company’s needs incl. data ownership concept, data quality monitoring and standards, data privacy and security processes and automation, data life cycle management
• Develop and ensure data management standards for our complex data landscape consisting of various diverse data processing systems
• Create andmaintainanAI governance framework incl. EU AI Act requirements: AI registry, AI tool evaluation, guidelines for AI usage in theorganisation
• Create and execute data governance policies and processes, e.g., for data deletions or cookie consent management, AI registry completion, data classification
• Data documentation and cataloging: processes and guidelines for data documentation, metadata management, datadictionaryand data lineage allowing for efficient and compliant data handling
• Provide trainings on data governance topics and best practices
• Drive and coordinate data governance related cross-divisional initiatives
• Collaborate closely with colleagues from Data, Tech, Product, Business, and Legal to ensure data security and privacy compliance

Your profile

• University degree in technical or business field: management, computer science, natural science or similar
• Several years of experience in data management, data governance, and data privacy related roles
• Strong understanding of data quality principles and monitoring practices
• Experience with data privacy and data security frameworks and processes
• Familiarity with data management and cataloging tools
• Familiarity with AI ethics and risks, AIsecurityand AI governance incl. the EU AI Act
• Excellent stakeholder management and project management skills
• Excellent English communication and presentation skills, German is a plus
• Structured and self-organisedway of working
• Interest in finance and fintech industry and a sense of humor
