Data Analyst - Collateral & Repo Clearing Design (w/m/d)

The Collateral & Repo Clearing Design Unit within the Section Securities and Collateral Clearing Design is responsible for the functional design of the Collateral Management System and Clearing Services related to the repo market as well as the eligibility framework for securities collateral. We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented new colleague. The role requires a strong understanding of securities and their master data, as well as the ability to work with large datasets and apply advanced data analysis techniques. The ideal candidate will combine domain expertise with technical proficiency and a forward-thinking mindset around AI and automation.

Your responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain features for new and existing applications dealing with securities reference data in alignment with business and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and refine functional and non-functional requirements.
• Ensure data integrity and consistency in the handling of securities master data.
• Translate business questions into data-driven analyses and communicate findings effectively.
• Implement and maintain robust documentation, including user stories, technical specifications, and test cases.
• Participate in quality assurance, testing, and release management processes.
• Monitor application performance and proactively address issues or inefficiencies.

Your profile

• University degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field with educational background / relevant experience in Data Management, Data Analytics, Data Governance or alike
• Understanding of and experience with data management concepts & cataloguing, including data lifecycle management, data modelling, metadata management, data architecture principles and data quality management
• Proficiency in working with large and complex datasets, incl. structured and unstructured data
• Knowledge of database systems, data modeling, and integration patterns (e.g., APIs).
• Strong skills in data analysis to extract insights and support decision-making.
• Understanding of AI concepts including machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI (e.g., LLMs) as well as experience with AI-driven tools
• Awareness of AI governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance
• Besides proficiency in MS Office applications, experience in Business Intelligence Tools e.g. Power BI as well as in related programming languages e.g. Python, SQL
• Team player with excellent communication skills, analytical and solution-oriented thinking, efficient, goal-oriented work as well as self-responsibility and reliability, solid understanding of financial instruments, especially securities and their master data attributes
• Familiarity with clearing and settlement processes is a plus.
• Fluent written and spoken English (German is a plus).
