Data Engineer | €50M Revenue BioTech | Greenfield Build | AI + Pricing Infrastructure | Cologne (Hybrid) AI Futures have been exclusively retained to find a Data Engineer. This is a rare opportunity to join a profitable, scaling business that has tripled its revenue year-on-year, now operating at a €50M annual run rate. The company is making major investments in data infrastructure, analytics, and AI to power its next phase of growth. This role will focus on development of scalable data pipelines, data infrastructure, and AI-driven solutions—built from the ground up. With no legacy systems, you will help design and implement commercially impactful tools in a greenfield environment. We are particularly interested in candidates who want to build and who want ownership, pace, and purpose. You will be required to be based in Cologne 3/4 days per week. The fixed salary is up to €95k. The RoleTranslate business needs into structured data requirements and assess source data for quality and usabilityDesign and build ETL/ELT pipelines using both low-code (e.g., RapidMiner) and high-code (e.g., Python) toolsConduct hands-on analysis to uncover patterns, test hypotheses, and develop forecasting or ML models where relevantDevelop dashboards and internal tools to enable data-driven decision-making across teamsCollaborate with external developers to scale and operationalize data pipelines The Candidate:Proven experience building data pipelines within a modern data stack (e.g., Data Lakes, SQL-based architectures)Proficiency with low-code analytics platforms or a strong willingness to learn; Python skills are a strong advantageComfortable working within Microsoft environments, particularly Excel and Power BI; Azure experience preferredExposure to machine learning or advanced analytics is a plus, but not essentialStrong analytical and structured thinking, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutionsCandidates must be German Speaking (Professional Level) AI Futures Ltd | Filling the AI skills gap ®
